Provider Staff Vacancies

Family Practice or Internal Medicine----Multiple openings; Staff Physician assists in the planning and implementation of service delivery according to the corporate Health Care Plan and written protocols. The Staff Physician provides primary, secondary and tertiary care, including counseling and referral as part of a multi-disciplinary team; must be sensitive to the needs of diverse cultural backgrounds of the medically underserved.
currently licensed to practice in the State of Alabama; must have MD or Foreign degree equivalent; must have completed residency for board eligibility, but certification preferred.

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner--------Multiple openings; A Certified RegisteredNurse Practitioner (CRNP) delivers primary and preventive care services according to established protocols and under preceptorship of a designated physician. The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner provides primary care including counseling and referral as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications: Currently Licensed in the State of Alabama; five years experience as a NP in public health or community health setting preferred.

General Dentist---- Provides dental care through corrective care, the prevention of dental disease and the promotion of dental health; ability to communicate and relate effectively with patients, administration and medical personnel; must be able to function as a collaborative and egalitarian team member; must be able to work under stress while maintaining a level of quiescence that decreases anxiety in personnel and patients; must be able to work with children.
Qualification: DDS or DMD from an approved dental school; valid State of Alabama license

Support Staff Vacancies

Behavioral Health Specialist (LCSW)------ The Behavioral Health Specialist functions as a member of the comprehensive primary health care team in addressing the psychosocial and substance abuse needs of patients at assigned corporate locations. The Behavioral Health Specialist also actively searches for individuals in need of behavioral health services, particularly those within special population groups. Master’s level Social Worker functions as a member of the Behavioral Health team in addressing the psychosocial needs of individuals, families and groups within the community; actively searches for individuals in need of mental health services within service area.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work; Social Work license for the State of Alabama; two years of related work experience, preferably in medical setting; must be sensitive to divergent cultural backgrounds; must be knowledgeable of community resources

Dental Assistant ------Supports the dentist during the examination and treatment of patients, and provides for the maintenance of accurate records, an orderly workplace and adequate inventories of materials.
High school diploma or GED, a certification of completion of a dental assistant course at a vocational school is preferred, must have knowledge of oral anatomy and standards of oral hygiene.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) ------ Assistant to physicians and other professionals in the provision of primary care. Responsive commitment to the needs of patients and ability to deal politely with public even under stress.
Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited program in practical nursing; current registration to work as a LPN in the State of Alabama; At least one year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Medical Assistant (MA) ------Responsible for assisting the provision of patient care and related nursing services necessary for the delivery of primary health care. Performs age specific assessments, familiar with medical terminology and electronic medical systems.
High School diploma or GED; Alabama Medical Assistant Certification preferred and a minimum of 1 year experience with phlebotomy and medication injections.

Patient Service Representative ------performs intake, electronic patient management entry and personal and medical history data verifica-tion duties associated with the delivery of primary and specialized health care services and is required to provide knowledgeable, courteous and professional customer service.
High School diploma or GED.

Dental Hygienist ------The Dental Hygienist assists dentist by cleaning, scaling and polishing teeth; taking and processing x-rays; and providing instruction on oral hygiene to patients, QOLHS personnel and the public.
Completion of dental hygienist program approved by the Alabama State Dental Board. At least six months experience as a dental hygienist, including periods of internship or on-the-job training. Licensure as a dental hygienist by the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners.
