Healthy students are ready to learn, and we want to care for them where they are.
Kids should not have to miss school and parents should not have to miss work to go to the doctor.
Our School-Based Health Center (SBHC) staff are licensed health care providers, who work with school nurses and counselors to provide expanded medical, behavioral health, dental, and vision services during the school day. They work in conjunction with the student’s primary care provider to support their health care needs.
Our SBHC staff provides many health services, including back-to-school physicals and immunizations. Other services include:
- Diagnosis & treatment of illnesses and injuries (i.e., headaches, strep throat, common cold, etc.)
- Laboratory testing
- Chronic disease management (i.e., asthma)
- Immunizations
- Behavioral health (mental health and substance abuse counseling/therapy)
- Crisis intervention
- Dental care
- Vision care
- Telehealth
