Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Nelson is a seasoned psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. His professional interests include ADHD, cross-cultural psychiatry, and the intersection of creativity and mental health, with a particular focus on how music can play a role in the treatment of mental illness.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Nelson is a passionate enthusiast of classic muscle cars and an accomplished bass guitarist. He also actively engages in public dialogue by hosting discussions on pressing social issues both in the United States and around the world.
